Anweshana Montessori House of Children

About Us

Children at Anweshana Montessori House of Children

Anweshana Montessori House of Children was founded in 1993 with the goal of creating an inclusive learning environment that nurtures the potential of every child and opens them up to a life lived in all its dimensions.

Anweshana is a community that supports the developing individuality, morality, intellect, independence and self-esteem of children from early childhood (18 months) to adolescence (15 years) through work for the head, heart and hands.

The Indian Montessori Training Centre (IMTC) has recognized our Pre-primary and Primary Montessori sections. The Government of Karnataka has recognized the Primary Section (Classes I to VIII).

Our Vision

We believe that education is the key to social reconstruction and the building of a society that is peaceful and socially just.

To nurture a soulful learning environment in which each and every child has the opportunity to grow to their fullest potential—not just intellectually but also emotionally, physically & socially.

Relevant education, wisdom's core,
Joyful learning, spirits soar.
Conceptual understanding, shining bright,
'Aha' moments, minds take flight.
Holistic growth, hearts unite.

Our Philosophy

We believe in a holistic approach to education that not only prepares the child for academic pursuits but also for life in all its dimensions. Our aim is to provide children with an education that fulfills their developmental and individualistic needs and thus unravels their true human potential.

We have tried to adapt the educational program to the time and place in which we live so that it remains relevant to their life and isn't just a mere accumulation of facts. We want to help the children discover the intricate connections between everything they explore and experience the fascination and satisfaction that comes with it.

We believe that learning is a very personal and self-driven process that is naturally joyful, meaningful and fulfilling and do not wish to take away from this process by reinforcing external reward and punishment. The intrinsic reward of accomplishing a developmentally appropriate task—satisfaction, joy, confidence—is the greatest motivator.
