Our Programs

Toddlers Program (18 months - 2.5 years)
During the period from birth to 3 years of age, the child's brain develops more rapidly than at any other time. During this period, children learn rapidly by observing and absorbing what is alive in their environment.
The goal of our toddler program is to create a nurturing and secure environment that fosters the children's desire to explore and helps them gain independence. Under the guidance of caring Montessori-trained adults, children learn by working with materials and activities that build concentration and help them develop self-help skills, gross and fine motor skills, problem-solving skills, and language and communication skills.

Pre-Primary Program (2.5 - 6 years)
Children of 2.5 to 6 years are helped to learn by using their absorbent mind. The freedom with guidance given by the educators, as well as the specially prepared materials and environment, enable children to learn by exploration and discovery.
By working with materials, children develop motor skills, cognitive skills, and reading and writing skills. Various concepts in Arithmetic, Geography, Botany, Zoology, and Geometry are presented as extensions of sensorial and language activities. The children grow in independence and gain self-confidence, concentration, will power, and hand-eye coordination.

Lower Elementary (6 - 9 years)
Children aged 6 to 12 years work in small groups on a variety of projects using their imagination and intellectual skills. The educators give presentations on various aspects of human culture including Language, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology, Physics, Chemistry, History, Geography, Astronomy, Music, and Art.
As follow-up activities, students do research work and present their findings to the class. Our curriculum also includes educational trips to factories, farms, botanical and zoological parks, as well as excursions to various states in India.

Upper Elementary (9 - 12 years)
The Montessori Method of education is followed until the 6th grade and an integrated curriculum including the best of IGCSE & CBSE is followed until the 8th grade.
These trips not only extend the students' knowledge on various subjects but also give them practical experiences, a chance to see new sides of their peers, educators, and themselves; develop their day-to-day problem-solving skills; expose them to new and different cultures; and make them sensitive to their surroundings.

Adolescent Program (12 - 15 years)
The Erdkinder Montessori Adolescent program is adapted to the needs of adolescents and to the times in which we live. It is based on the development of the adolescent personality, morality, self-esteem and personal adaptability through work.
The different kinds of work they do in addition to academic work include community work, land work (farming, landscaping), work for self-expression (art, pottery, poetry), physical exercise, and production and exchange. Regular dialogues and discussions, interactions with experts from various fields, field trips and excursions help the adolescents learn about themselves as well as the world.
Growing up in a peaceful environment close to nature has a calming effect on them and helps them deal with their inner conflicts.
Why Montessori?

Nurturing the Natural Spirit of Inquiry
At Anweshana, children have the freedom to explore their interests and experience the joy and fulfillment of learning. We nurture the children's natural spirit of inquiry by providing them with enriching experiences and the space to learn through exploration, discovery, and practical application.

Connection with Nature and Self
Growing up in a peaceful environment that is close to nature and rich in learning resources helps children connect with themselves, the society & the natural world and become responsible global citizens. Learning to be self-aware, leading a healthy and eco-friendly lifestyle with value for natural resources and maintaining a close connection with nature are at the heart of our educational program.
